Our Role

We want to support a viable path for communities in DR Congo. For this, Congolese leadership and ownership are key. 

We turn the aid process upside-down and take a consulting role. We identify organizations that impact their communities and accompany them, maintaining a close relationship with them based on our shared philosophies and values.

Our Philosophy

We believe that lasting change cannot be imposed. The people impacted by a program need an opportunity to participate, and their input must be valued. They must also want the changes taking place.

Lasting development cannot be directed or owned by outsiders.

Our Standards

Our partners adopt international procedures for record-keeping and submit to the same external audit practices used by international non-governmental organizations worldwide.

We expect active self-evaluation and concrete metrics that ensure effective work.

• Connect our partners with helpful organizations both locally and internationally

• Sponsor opportunities for community leaders to speak internationally about human development in Congo

• Strengthen credibility by providing our partners with resources to verify that they meet or exceed international standards

• Create IT solutions that support our partners' research, analysis, data management, and communication needs

• Stand with our partners daily to consult and support as they build capacity and scale their programs
